This course is designed to give an appreciation and understanding of the etiology, nature, and treatment of selected emotional and psychological disorders. The central topics of this course will cover abnormal behavior in our society, casual factors, stress, the various psychological problems and mental disorders via DSM V, clinical assessment, psychological treatments and contemporary issues in Abnormal Psychology.
