EMT 211: Advanced Emergency Medical Technician - Part 2

Credits 7

The AEMT program is divided into two parts, where Part-2 builds upon the knowledge gained in Part-1.  This program provides students with the necessary skills to offer primary and limited advanced emergency medical care and transport critically ill and emergency patients who rely on the emergency medical system.  The course focuses on handling trauma emergencies and special populations.  As an Advanced EMT, you will possess knowledge of both basic and advanced ambulance equipment usage, and your duties will involve caring for critical and emergent patients.  You will receive dispatch calls and be required to provide primary and limited advanced emergency medical care and transportation for patients in critical or emergent situations.  The AEMT program will equip you with the necessary skills to fulfill these responsibilities.

Successful completion of EMT 210-Part 1 and EMT 211-Part 2 of this course leads to eligibility to take New York State AEMT Certification Exams.
